Biography
Jill Cohoe joined Steyer Lowenthal Boodrookas Alvarez and Smith LLP as an associate in 2017, after previously working as a legal assistant and summer law clerk at the firm. Jill became partner with the firm in May 2023. Prior to joining the firm as an associate, Ms. Cohoe worked as an associate attorney at Manning & Kass, Ellrod, Ramirez, Trester, LLP, with her practice focusing on civil motions and appeals. She also previously worked as a research attorney in the busy Law and Motion Department of San Francisco Superior Court, where she analyzed hundreds of motions involving many areas of civil law.
Ms. Cohoe received her J.D. from UC Hastings College of the Law, cum laude, in 2013. While at Hastings, she served as a Senior Symposium Editor for the Hastings Law Journal, organizing the Spring 2013 symposium, “From Bench to Society: Law and Ethics at the Frontier of Genomic Technology.” Additionally, she worked as a legal extern for the Honorable Marla J. Miller at the San Francisco Superior Court and as an in-house summer associate for Calix, Inc.
Education
Ms. Cohoe graduated cum laude from University of California Hastings College of the Law (2013). She received her B.A. in Psychology from the University of California, Berkeley (2008).

In her free time, Ms. Cohoe enjoys snowboarding, rooting for the 49ers, and going on hikes with her dog, Waffles.
